Founder
Alexis Bauduin became a public figure in 2013 when he was featured on the show “The Apprentice Asia with Tony Fernandes”. Since then, he has left his corporate career to bring delicious, healthy meals to the mass market.
Inspiration
People often develop diet-related chronic diseases because they can’t relate to the food that they are supposed to eat, and that’s where YOLO comes in. Bauduin wanted to introduce a concept that changed people’s perception and experience of healthy food, to prove that healthy eating doesn’t have to be expensive and tasteless.
Signature dish
Cauliflower “fried” rice.
Advice for food operators
“Be open to criticisms,” says Bauduin. “Always try to see if there is anything you can do to improve on a larger scale.”
Health food prediction
Bauduin predicts that more grain bowl and salad concepts will enter the market in coming years. “The health food scene will likely evolve into second-generation health food, moving away from customised bowls to what people are usually looking for. Think healthy laksa, beef rendang, chicken rice, and more,” he adds.
