  • White Round Cabbage, thinly sliced 200.0 g
  • Fries, deep fried till crispy 200.0 g
  • Bacon, stripped 100.0 g
  • Pink Ginger, chopped 30.0 g
  • Okonomiyaki Batter, As Above

Plating and Assembly

  • Bonito Flakes 20.0 g
  • Cress 20.0 g
  • Nori, crushed 20.0 g

Upgrade the fries in your restaurant by serving them okonomiyaki style paired with the tarty and savory bacon sauce. Drizzle some homemade okonomiyaki sauce and finish it with a handful of bonito flakes and spring onions, a mainstay of all okonomiyaki dishes.

Preparation

  1. Cheese and Bacon Sauce

    • In a pot, melt butter, sweat onion, bacon and green chili till soft.
    • Deglaze with ponzu vinegar and reduce for 2 mins.
    • Add water, bring to boil and whisk in Knorr Instant Cheese Sauce Mix.
    • Bring to boil and let it simmer for 2 mins.
    • Fold in Knorr Aromat Seasoning and black pepper.
    • Mix well and set aside.
  2. Okonomiyaki Batter

    • In a mixing bowl, mix all the ingredients together and set aside.
    • Transfer onto desired ramekin and sprinkle Italian bread crumbs over the batter.
  3. Okonomiyaki Sauce

    • In a pot, add in all the ingredient and bring to boil.
  4. Okonomiyaki Fries

    • Heat up pan to medium heat.
    • In a mixing bowl, mix the okonomiyaki batter, sliced cabbage, cooked fries, fried bacon strips, and pink ginger together.
    • Pour mixture onto the heated pan and let it cook for 4 mins.
    • Flip over and cook for another 4 mins.
  5. Plating and Assembly

    • Plate okonomiyaki, pour a layer of cheddar sauce and drizzle okonomiyaki sauce over it.
    • Top with bonito flakes and cress.
    • Ready to serve.
